This assembly application for heavy vehicle frames and chassis is an excellent example of Doerfer’s engineering skills in giving the customer exactly what they were asking for, rather.  This customer was tired of proprietary control systems and wanted vehicles designed with PLC controls of the same type used throughout their plant.  While these AGV tuggers and following trailers are rated at 30,000 lbs, it could now just as easily by 300,000 lbs.
