Headless Transporter With their unique low profile flat deck design Wheelift “headless” transporters are able to drive into and exit in from any direction under any stand-support load that can provide 20” of clear “tunnel” space. The ability to drive through under the load allows headless units to access loads from any side. This configuration allows them to accommodate significant load overhangs in any direction as well. This also facilitates using several transporters operating together in “tandem” operating modes, where several transporters will function as a single multi axle transporter. The headless version mean the space must be left in the structure below deck to house all of the engine, generator, HPU for suspension, and the electrical controls panels. This will means that the transporter will be longer and possibly wider than if it had a raised engine compartment. |
