Rail Car Assembly

Rail car assembly is an excellent example of gaining expanded use of manufacturing space.  With the Wheelift transporter’s 19 inch overall height, cars can be built on lower stands for easier worker access and better use of existing ceiling heights.  Typically two Wheelift transporters that have the capability to operate independently, as well as a single unit operating in tandem, will drive under then lift each end of the coach for movement to the next assembly location.  The ability to move with near instrument precision in highly congested areas offers bold new ways to use existing spaces.
